another sad birthday

Phaedra

child
i'll never know you
i'll never hold you
cradled in my arms

child
i'll never see
the sunshine in your eyes
-- or the tears

child
was it fate that stole you?
or was i to blame?
it doesn't matter
now
it's all the same
and nothing
nothing
nothing
but this empty, aching silence

this empty aching silence

this empty aching silence

remains

((((((((((((((((mary)))))))))))))))

This is beautiful…

I feel your words… Your sadness….

I’m so sorry…

She is always with you… Her soul…

You know that… You do…

I would so love to see the painting ( and hear the song ).
Phaedra was always one of my favourite names.
Sending a big hug, and my gratitude that you are out there with your beautiful heart.

Thank you Sandra! Yes, this was one of the works that helped me grieve Phaedra. My first and last pastel, many years ago… I never thought it was very good, it just called to me.

I would be happy to pull a print and give it to you.  Just say the word!
