Hey, who turned out the lights?

Posted on Dec 9th, 2006 by mary : untitled mary
dark birds are gathering
in my dreams
wind-song is whispering a warning....
what can it mean?

As in a dream I spin in darkness, aware only of a familiar thudding pressure in my chest. Waters rise and spill from my eyes. (Is this ignorance? Or innocent forgetting…)

I recognize, for the thousandth time, the moment I realized the childhood dream is gone, that there is no direction home.

Well. At least I know I am lost. That saves time and money!

So once more I sink into my lostness. I have learned not to twist and turn. I have learned not to dive and wallow. I have learned to yield and to accept.

And I have learned to rise.

Mary,

Like a magnificent Phoenix; yes you rise again.  So. IL is a place I've never seen.  Your heart, I have…
Beautiful.

Oh Mary Mary – so lovely, so true. Let your heart turn to it's truest mooring: always in your own core, always linked to your mother's heart's core. And on back through the generations to the dimmest reaches of eternal time. There, in the beating and stilled hearts is homeward.
